I'm pointing this out because Outline Object sounds suspiciously like Create Outlines, which is a completely different function that does the exact same thing as Object > Expand., i.e., it permanently converts the text to ordinary vector objects, making it no longer live/editable, which the OP specifically does not want to do. Furthermore, the Outline Object effect can be removed at any time (though there isn't a need to do so that I know of). I'll add that the text remains live/editable with this method, and it doesn't change the appearance of the text at all. You can make the box wider, narrower, taller, or shorter by left clicking on the re-sizing handles to. If you later want to remove the Outline Object effect, select the text with the Selection Tool (V) and click the Clear Appearance button at the bottom of the Appearance window. It will stay within the box and wrap around as needed. You now have a bounding box which hugs the text tightly, so you can see and adjust its true dimensions in the Transform window. Select the Text tool ( Click in the text box you want to change. When you click on the ‘New’ option of the drop-down list of file menu, a dialog box will be open. Then select your typed letter with the Selection Tool (V) and go to Effect > Path > Outline Object. Step 1: The first thing you have to do is take a ‘New Document’ from the file menu of the Menu bar of this software. To bend text around a circle, for example, use the Ellipse tool to create a circle. But you can also make text follow a curve without changing the shape of the letters. The curved text methods we've looked at so far distort the letters themselves. You can add a solid circle behind the text. Go to the overhead menu and choose Object> Envelope Distort> Make with Top Object. Step 2:Create a circle on top of the text. One workaround that I know of is to go to Edit > Preferences > General and check Use Preview Bounds. How to Curve Text Along a Path in Illustrator. I recommend using a thicker font for better results.
